Mocktail: Margarita

For Dry January (or Dry Anytime of Year), you can still enjoy the taste of summer in your mouth. This Margarita recipe is super simple to make.

The toughest part is just getting your hands on a non-alcoholic spirit; in this case, Seedlip Grove 42. It’s a spirit that’s distilled, blended and bottled in England with a variety of herbs, blood orange, mandarin, lemon, ginger and lemongrass. You can get it online or at a specialty food store. I picked mine up at Gourmet Warehouse.

MOCK MARGARITA

2 oz Seedlip Grove 42
3/4 oz Fresh lime juice
1/4 oz Agave syrup

Place ingredients into a shaker, fill with ice, and shake for 10 seconds. Double strain into an Old Fashioned glass filled with ice and garnish with a lime wheel.

If you want a salted rim: before you fill the Old Fashioned glass with ice, cut a slice of lime and rub the rim until it’s coated with lime juice. Turn over the glass and place the rim over a plate of salt.
