The leather jacket is a pretty standard staple in every gal's wardrobe. Including mine. But add in three-quarter length gathered sleeves, snap-down spread collar, an asymmetrical zip front, front zip pocket, cropped hem and buttery soft lamb leather, we're FAR from standard. It's no surprise that when I took a look at the label, Thakoon's name was written all over it.
In fact, it belongs to his sister line, Thakoon Addition - a more affordable line from Thakoon Panichgul, a Thai designer who's made quite the splash since debuting his womenswear line waaaay back in 2004. His Asian heritage is quite evident in the incredible detailing of his pieces and you can see and feel it in the jacket. The Thakoon Addition collection is centred around wardrobe staples with beautiful fabrics assembled with stylish ease and youthful wearability.
I'll be headed to the FW2015/16 shows in Paris in March and I'll look forward to reporting on his new collections targeting the streets less than a year from now!
