Soccer Season Kicks Off for 2026

And just like that, we kicked off another season of the Vancouver Whitecaps.

This year, I’m committed to going to more games. It’s the year of FIFA World Cup in the city, so if there’s any year that I need to fully embrace my love for soccer, it’s 2026. My passion for the beautiful game dates back to 2010 World Cup and cheering for the German National Team. Since then, being able to watch the DFB win their 4th World Cup (in 2014), and also cheering on Team Canada as they progressed further, and witnessing the superiority of the Canadian women’s team and the founding of the Northern Super League and Vancouver Rise FC — 2025 NSL Champions of course — my life lately has been all about soccer.

So here’s to another amazing season for the Vancouver Whitecaps and Vancouver Rise FC (season starts April 24th) — and can’t wait for FIFA!
