When you get an opportunity to enjoy brunch at the restaurant voted Best Brunch in Vancouver by none other than Vancouver Magazine in their 2018 Restaurant Awards, you say ‘HELLS yeah.’

The absolute standout of the entire experience was the crispy fried chicken (which does not come with waffles, btw). It was absolutely delicious and is served with potato pickle mayo, dill powder and your option of a poached egg (to which I say, ‘uh, duh.’)

I also had the Pizzichi Farro Pasta, which is basically a pasta made from a nutty grain (farro) that’s similar to brown rice. It may sound trendy but it’s been around since ancient times. The pasta was also served with a poached egg and was decent but my mind couldn’t stop thinking about the fried chicken, which was ordered for the table to share. In my head, I was thinking: share? Why in the world would I share this? I want it for myself!

And also shout out to Foxglove Farms that produced the most amazing raspberry jam for the scone that came with the jam and butter. Best jam I’ve ever tasted.
