DRESS, FLORIANE FOSSO | SHOES, BCBG
CLUTCH, FLORIANE FOSSO | SHOT ON LOCATION, FAIRMONT PACIFIC RIM

The last time I wore sequins - honest to God - was in high school at my prom. At the time I thought I was a little hottie, bringing my best friend's brother - who was in college and himself hotter than hell. I wore a form fitting, black dress that hugged the body like a glove. And it was all in black shiny sequins. The kicker were the black shoulder straps that resembled black cream puffs. It was fugly and I looked like an 80s whore. Julia Roberts' Pretty Woman had nothing on me. But I thought I was the shit at 17. Well, I was a shit, just not THE shit.

Today, however, I'm venturing back into sequins but my, oh my, has technology changed the way things are made. Sequins are now more beautiful than ever - and the fabrics that are made come in both shiny and mat sequins.

This Floriane Fosso dress that I slipped into - right after my bath of roses at the Fairmont Pacific Rim - is no exception. Scratch that. It's absolutely exceptional. Sensual and creative (you can rub your hands over the fabric and it will create a new pattern as the sequins are two-toned (black one side, gold on the other). Not only do I look and feel sexy in this dress, I end up attracting people who simply want to draw their owns designs on it. How cool is that?!?

The black BCBG fringe stiletto sandals were a DSW find - one of my favourite places to shop for shoes - and make my legs look like a million bucks. Cuz honestly, they're really only about a thousand bucks in real life.

I definitely think this is my go to party dress for any event. Super versatile and comfortable, I wouldn't care if I have this on repeat through the Holiday Season!
